I ate lots of Dulce De Leche treats on my recent trip through South America but these were easily the best! So dang good, and if you are anywhere near these places you should definitely stop by for a taste!
Buenos Aires, Argentina: Dulce de Leche Gelato at Cadore
They nailed the texture of gelato, it’s wonderfully creamy and do friggin' tasty….this is worth going out of your. way for. Heck, this is worth going to Buenos Aires for…only kind of kidding.
Montevideo, Uruguay: Bonbon at Cabana Veronica
I was sitting (tolerating) asado (I’m not a meat lover but I had some chicken) and saw this intriguing treat at the bottom of the menu promising chocolate and dulce de leche so I ordered it. Oh em geez…a lovely mix of dulce de leche pudding, chocolate goodness, and brownie bits….so dang good!
Montevideo, Uruguay: Alfajor at La Gambuza
Uruguay is really nailing the dulce de leche treat scene (read more about that in this post). Seriously. This alfajor was probably the best one in South America…bold statement but I tried a ton of them!
La Paz, Bolivia: Churro filled with Dulce de Leche at Churritos
I realize that with my super detailed location help this place will be naturally easy to find…however kidding aside this place is worth finding! Ask around because both the dulce de leche and the Nutella filled churros were the jam!
Do you have other favorite dulce de leche treats? Let me know where I can find them in the comments section!
