Here are a few fun activities that I recommend for El Paso:
Wyler Ariel Tramway (& the drive up to the tram)
While El Paso isn't exactly the most scenic of cities (it's pretty brown) it is still a cool view point that lets you see the local area (as well as Mexico) from above. Definitely worth a visit!
Chamizal National Memorial
I love our National Parks and while this one probably isn't the most exciting, it's worth a visit. Go learn about some of the history between the US and Mexico!
El Paso Museum of Art
This is a pretty cool art museum and even better, it's free! So go and enjoy!
Other activities I never made it to but heard great things about include: the zoo, the water park, the Franklin Mountains, Hueco Tanks, and Top Golf.
A few personal recommendations for where to eat/drink/get coffee in El Paso. Enjoy!
While the food wasn't my favorite (and was definitely overpriced) their churros are so dang good! Go here just for churros!
This is is the best place to go for a good cup of coffee in El Paso, it isn't exactly a place to linger but it's solid and delicious. If you want to know more about the coffee in El Paso check out this post.
They have a lot of vegan food but they also have meat options; both are great. As are their cocktails, which solid as well.
They have fun baked goods and do coffee pretty solidly. For more coffee ideas check out my post here.
They had good calamari and a decent wine selection. This is a good spot for a casual dinner.
I know this is a chain, but I like it so it made the list. And honestly it's one of my favorite fresh meals to eat in El Paso. So go try it!
This is probably the nicest Whole Foods I have ever been in. Seriously. They have a fun beer/wine bar called "Ale Paso" (clever, huh?) that often has events like Trivia Nights (on Thursdays) or eclectic markets. Once they even had Star Wars bingo!. And as a bonus, you can get food from Whole Foods and just bring it into the bar.
