Ruidoso has recently opened some rad local spots to get a drink, make sure you check them out!
I'm such a fan of this place, probably because the owners are super fun and they are really passionate about their craft. I for sure recommend going out to the actual distillery which is just outside of Ruidoso in Glencoe. It's worth visiting for the gorgeous wood (from the next door shop, Wood Swan) and the friendly environment. Plus they have some solid craft cocktails (try their twist on a tequila sunrise or their version of the Moscow mule). But if you can't make it out to the actual distillery, you can check out their craft cocktails at Sacred Grounds located right on the main shopping strip in Ruidoso.
Lost Hiker Brewery
I first had Lost Hiker at the Vines in the Pines event with Discover Ruidoso and knew right away that I wanted to check out their taproom. The tiny taproom located on the edge of Ruidoso has a cozy/fun vibe. They have several beers on tap and a bunch of games. Definitely worth a visit if you are into craft beer.
Noisy Water Winery
If you like sweet wines then you will love this place. I am not much of a sweet wine drinker but I did really enjoy their cheese platter (so many delicious cheeses). I also enjoyed their quirky take on green chile wine which is included in their $5 tasting as a free bonus taste (or you have the option to choose red chili wine instead if you want to be a weirdo). If you like green chile be sure to check out my post on where to sample unique green chile foods in New Mexico! And if you're feeling a little light headed from the altitude, you can try out their oxygen bar (let me know how it goes!).
