There are so many free things to do in Tulsa but here are my Top 5:
Summer movies on the Guthrie Green: Grab a few blankets and some friends and head out to one of the weekly summer movies on the Guthrie Green. Bring drinks and snacks and enjoy some quality time outside.
Holy Yoga at SALT: Free yoga is a solid win, plus it’s a super relaxing way to get in a good workout.
First Fridays: During the First Friday art walk all of the art galleries in the Brady Arts district are free (and many have snacks). It is a solid way too spend a Friday evening in Tulsa.
Fee free first weekends with Bank of America: If you are a Bank of America card holder they offer free museums on the first full weekend of the month. In Tulsa this gives you access to the Philbrook and Gilcrease. The Philbrook is definitely worth a visit and you might as well go when it’s free.
Dance classes: Every Thursday night Tulsalseros Dance Company offers free Salsa lessons around town. it is a fun way to get a free dance lesson and learn a new style. I went and had a really good time so I would solidly recommend this.
Greenwood Cultural Center: Tulsa has some dark history, and it’s important to acknowledge the wrong that was done to that we can learn from it and pursue peace in the midst of ongoing hurt. Head to the Greenwood Cultural Center to learn more about what happened and how Tulsa is hoping to heal these deep wounds.
