When I began to research the different ports on my Royal Caribbean cruise one of the questions I kept asking was: How accessible is the town (like things worth doing) from the cruise port? For some of the destinations I found that getting into town was trickier than for others.
Fortunately for those of you headed to Willemstad, Curaçao the town is very accessible from the Mega Cruise terminal. A 10 min walk will get you into town to shop, see the Dushi and Curacao signs, beans coffee and the colorful buildings/queen Emma bridge. For more ideas of how to spend your day there see my post about it HERE.
If you choose to do your own excursion (not with the cruise line) like I did with Atlantis Diving simply walk to the gate of the terminal. When I was there all of the various travel companies were waiting with signs to pick people up for various tours.
Or if you just want to explore on your own just walk straight through the gate and keep heading into town.
You’ve got this, go and enjoy Curaçao!
